Perched above the Yarra River in the leafy corner of Abbotsford, Clarion Clinics are gearing up to unveil Australia’s inaugural psychedelic treatment centre.
With an aim to develop programs that deliver safe and effective outcomes for people suffering with mental ill-health using assisted psychotherapies, this pioneering practice required a tranquil, safe environment for patients and the highly-qualified clinical team. Concept Health are honoured to have been entrusted with the task.
The fitout brief entailed taking an open plan previous tenancy and creating a calming practice with 7 spacious therapy rooms, each with enough room for a sleeper sofa, dimmable lighting and soundproofing to ensure a relaxed sensory experience. The materiality and colour needed to be neural and simple, yet warm and inviting.
The palette is a mix or warm white with organic tones from timber slatted features from Flash Architectural joinery. The buttery yellow Clarion brand colours are tied in with signage welcoming visitors to the space, provided by Tiger Corp.
The sweeping 3.6m ceilings, large scale windows and accompanying draperies create a sense of openness and grandeur, adding to the overall sense of comfort cultivated by the Clarion team.
Opening in 2024, this clinic is the first of its kind in Australia, offering a care option for the many who have exhausted traditional medical treatments.
