Frequently
Asked Questions

Office and commercial fitouts range in complexity based on the needs of our clients, the space in to which they are moving and many other factors. As such, no two fitouts are the same, and hence the time taken to complete them are unique to each project. Concept’s business model – inhouse design, project management and trades – means that we are market leaders in the timely completion of all projects we build. A typical project takes 4-6 weeks in design development and approvals, and 8-12 weeks to build. Of course, projects can take more or less time depending on the nature of the project – contact us to discuss and we can give you a time estimate based on your unique requirements.

As an indicative guide for 2026, a standard fitout costs from $1,000 to $1,400 per square metre and a premium fitout from $1,400 per square metre. Your final figure depends on the base-build condition, scope and selections.

2 weeks ago, our project teams headed out to the Better Future Melbourne Design Awards 2026 presentation event, coming home with SILVER awards for four of our projects.

Beyond the awards, the best part was celebrating in person with the people who made these spaces happen and sharing the room with Melbourne’s talented design community. The standard of work across the board was incredible and being recognised alongside such a strong lineup of projects was a true highlight for our team.

A massive congratulations to all winners and finalists, and a big thank you to the @betterfutureawards team for bringing the design community together for a great night of inspiration and celebration.

We are proud to share that Level 8, 'The Cove', at 100 Pacific Highway has been awarded SILVER in 'Interior Design - Commercial', at the 2026 Better Future Sydney Design Awards!

Inspired by the calm of sheltered coastal inlets, the speculative suite design combined curved forms, warm timber tones and textured stone finishes, and a natural palette throughout.

Our thanks to our client Forza Capital, to the Concept team across design and delivery, and to @betterfutureawards for the recognition.

Creating a new space doesn't always mean taking it

Creating a new space doesn't always mean taking it back to slab and starting from scratch.

By identifying what was already working well within level 4 at Sydney's iconic Aurora Place, Concept built upon the existing footprint, saving time and reducing waste, while delivering a refined, premium workplace befitting the 88 Phillip St precinct.

We're hiring!

Two new roles based in our Melbourne and Sydney offices - which one sounds like you?

Experience & Operations Coordinator (VIC):
If you thrive on keeping things moving, and would love to be who people instinctively go to when something needs sorting across our offices, this one's for you. You'll be looked to by teams in every state, and you'll genuinely shape how things run, not just keep them ticking along.

Interior Site Surveyor (NSW):
Have you got a sharp eye and love being out onsite, properly looking at a building rather than just walking through it? You'll be the person turning what's onsite into the detail our design team builds from, so nothing gets missed once the work begins. Ideally a recent graduate in a related field.

How Adam found his way to Concept.

Hear from our new National Construction Director, Adam Head, as he shares the story of how a special bond built nearly two decades ago turned into a long-held promise kept.

Concept was invited to design and deliver a considered workplace solution for @lendlease and @jll at the landmark Aurora Place precinct at 88 Philip Street, Sydney.

Following the departure of the previous tenant, the vacant tenancy presented an opportunity to reposition the space and create a premium offering befitting the calibre of Aurora Place.

Rather than adopting a traditional demolition and blank-canvas approach, Concept identified an opportunity to retain and build upon the existing fitout, applying our market-leading Adaptive Re-Use methodology to unlock greater value from the existing environment while delivering a contemporary, high-quality workplace solution.

Working from a clearly defined brief and in close collaboration with the Aurora Place team, Concept brought the vision to life, delivering a sophisticated and premium workplace offering that reflects the quality, character and positioning of the precinct.

Our sincere thanks to our partners at Lendlease, JLL, and the broader Aurora Place management team for their collaboration, trust and support throughout the project.

Two weeks ago, we officially opened the doors to our new Concept Sydney studio on Bridge Street.

It was a fantastic evening bringing together our clients, industry partners and friends to celebrate this important milestone with the Concept team.

For Concept, this studio is far more than just a new address. It represents our long-term commitment to the Sydney market, our focus on the relationships we continue to build, the capability of our growing team, and the next chapter of Concept’s national growth.

Most importantly, it is a space designed to bring people together, to collaborate, exchange ideas and showcase the way we think about workplace, design and delivery.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and those who have been part of the journey so far.

We’re looking forward to sharing more of the studio with you soon.
