Bright, Branded Workspace for Big Fish Technology

Big Fish Technology, a Melbourne-based IT and telecommunications provider, delivers tailored, integrated systems to over 500 clients across finance, accounting, medical, and SME sectors. As the company grew, so did the need for a light-filled, collaborative space that embodied its brand and values. Concept was engaged to transform their Blackburn North office into a modern workplace. An office fitout that supports productivity, connection, and wellbeing.

The brief focused on enhancing limited natural light while providing flexible, open-plan work areas, generous breakout zones, and communal spaces that support staff wellbeing.

Drawing directly from Big Fish’s branding, shades of blue were used throughout to reflect the brand identity and inject energy into the space. Key materials included a polished concrete walkway leading from entry to breakout, and a blue/grey gradient carpet to add depth and colour.

• A thoughtfully styled boardroom that promotes focused collaboration, with calming acoustic panels that enhance privacy and minimise distractions, and branded flooring that reinforces team identity.

The tenancy originally offered minimal natural light, so lighting design and reflective finishes were strategically used to brighten the space. Open sightlines, light-toned materials, and a thoughtful layout contributed to a sense of openness and warmth while meeting the client’s spatial and functional needs.

By enhancing natural light, creating spaces for collaboration and comfort, and embedding flexibility throughout, Concept delivered a tailored environment that reflects Big Fish Technology’s values and supports its continued growth.
