Supporting Wellbeing & Diversity in Working Styles
Concept recently completed the design and build of a new headquarters for a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities in developing countries. The 844sqm space in Richmond, Victoria, prioritises employee well-being and fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment.
The design incorporates a range of features to support neurodiversity and accommodate diverse work styles. A warm and natural palette, featuring earthy tones and abundant natural light, creates a calming and inspiring atmosphere.
Key design elements include:
- Flexible Workspaces: The space features a variety of zones, from quiet work areas and private offices for focused work to collaborative spaces like a spacious townhall area with modular seating and informal scrum lounges for team brainstorming.
- Focus on Well-being: Acoustic treatments, comfortable seating, and dedicated relaxation areas promote employee comfort and reduce distractions.
- Technology Integration: Seamless integration of technology, including sit-stand desks, high-quality Wi-Fi, and collaborative technology in meeting rooms, supports efficient communication and collaboration.
- Sustainability: The project incorporated sustainable materials and practices, utilizing Australian-made products whenever possible.
Their headquarters exemplifies Concept’s commitment to creating inspiring and functional workspaces that support employee well-being and enhance organisational success. By carefully considering the client’s unique needs and values, Concept delivered a space that is both beautiful and functional, reflecting the organisation’s mission and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can create a workplace that not only meets the practical needs of a business but also enhances employee well-being and fosters a strong sense of community.
