Project Overview

Blinq engaged Concept to design and build their new Melbourne office on the top floor of 321 Exhibition Street. The brief was to create a vibrant, industrial-style workplace that reflected Blinq’s brand, supported rapid growth and fostered strong connection between people.

Workplace Vision

At the core of the strategy was a culture-led approach. The workplace needed to feel authentic, social and welcoming, creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming together. The design prioritises shared experiences, flexibility and wellbeing, ensuring the office can grow and evolve alongside the business.

Design Response

Belonging and Connection
A central kitchen and tiered seating form the heart of the workplace, supporting shared meals, town halls and informal gatherings. Lounge areas and breakout zones encourage relaxed interaction, while brand-infused meeting rooms subtly express Blinq’s identity.

Sustainable Growth
Flexible planning supports staged expansion without disruption. The layout accommodates future scaling, including provision for a commercial kitchen upgrade as the team grows.

Authenticity and Wellbeing
Exposed ceilings, polished concrete and raw finishes create an industrial edge, softened by natural timbers and abundant daylight. Quiet rooms and phone booths provide spaces for focus and balance, supporting different work styles throughout the day.

Outcome

The result is a light-filled, energetic workplace that feels true to Blinq’s culture. A space that supports collaboration, wellbeing and long-term growth while making a clear statement in the Melbourne CBD.
