The short answer is yes, you can.
During these difficult and uneasy times with the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting our daily routine, we want to reassure you that you can still proceed with business-critical tasks like your new commercial fit out. If you are planning a move in 2020, the enforced business downtime is an excellent opportunity to focus on your fit out project with complete clarity, without the day to day disruptions of our busy lives.
We wanted to take the time to assure you that Concept is still operating and closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Australia.
We understand that with the lockdown of both Victoria and New South Wales, demands an urgency to adhere to strict health and safety regulations. The well-being of our team, clients, trades and suppliers are our top priority; therefore, Concept is following the guidance of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian Department of Health on the appropriate measures.
With communities in isolation, productivity of construction plans and projects have come to a halt. Unprecedented times like this can be distressing, especially not knowing how you may be able to progress with your office fit plans.
Rest assured at Concept we’re open for business. We are here to support you and your needs, whether that’s if you’ve signed a new lease and are preparing for a move, or you need to adjust office size due to recent events, Concept is here to help you every step of the way.
We understand that timeline and future planning are tricky measures in these circumstances. Whether you need an immediate move or a plan three months down the track, we are flexible and willing to support your business objectives.
Like many organisations, we’ve innovated through this crisis to ensure we can continue to support our clients and their businesses while keeping everyone safe throughout the lockdown.
1) We are dividing our teams.
The safety of our staff and trades are of paramount importance. We will continue to function as usual; however, our team will divide into two alternating groups that will shift between working from home and in the office. This is to ensure we are honouring the 2-metre physical distancing guidelines and limiting the number of team members in the office at one time.
This also applies to our trades on site. Our sites remain open and will continue to meet the construction timelines of all projects. We have ensured that our trades do not cross sites and remain in specific groups to guarantee work production if one team were to fall ill.
2) Virtual meetings and tours
If your project is under construction and your team are working from home, we will ensure informative updates with the progression of the project. Our team of trades and Project Managers will continue to work and conduct site checks, tours, and picture updates for visual check-ins on the development. Meetings won’t happen face to face. Instead we can utilise the technology available to connect with our clients in a frequent and accessible manner, through virtual meetings and project management programs. We have all the necessary tools and drive within our teams to ensure projects are in motion, and clients feel supported.
3) Increased Support and communication
We are striving to sustain strong communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered, clients are productive towards their move, and we are supporting our suppliers through these extraordinary times.
We are closely monitoring all material from our suppliers so if a supply chain issue were to arise we can make alternative arrangements and avoid any delays. Our client satisfaction is vital, especially given these unpredictable circumstances.
We want you to know that we are all in this together. We are here to support you and your business any way we can by providing top industry tips, guidance and offering tools to help you get through this period of uncertainty. Although social norms have shifted, the importance of continuing with our endeavours is vital to ensure a functioning society after this period passes. Whether you have a tight deadline or have an idea in the works, the experts at Concept are here to help with your next commercial fit out.
